On June 29, Hwasa released a hauntingly beautiful music video for ‘Maria‘, the title track of her first mini-album. Describing the album as “the product of her sweats and tears”, the youngest member of MAMAMOO clearly put a lot of emotions into all of her songs.
‘Maria’ (titled after her baptismal name) talks about her experiences as a constant target for online criticism and body-shaming throughout her career. The song and the MV also deliver an encouraging message of accepting yourself as you look beautiful the way you are.

In one of the notable scenes of the MV, Hwasa proved that she could rock any kind of look when she wore this rather edgy strappy outfit. The transparent shoes from Yeezy give a nice balance to her whole look.

Every outfit there Hwasa just make it shine like no other, she has its own light, I LOVE HER, she is so beautiful, in the beginning, when I first meet her I tough she was really beautiful and sexy, even thinking myself, I would like to have that body shape, later I knew she has been the target of hate and body shaming and I was like: WHAT THE HELL? Are you serious? Are you ok in your brain?
